Vision takes about 5-10 photons. Well, if I remember what my instructor said, that’s about how many a photoreceptor needs to be stimulated. I don’t know what the brain thinks about one photoreceptor being stimulated but just thinking about this, a photon, a photon in the visible wavelength, created by an electron dropping to a lower orbital. That’s how we get light. We need those electrons to jump around. Ok, I get carried away at how things work. But if we didn’t have these things happening, quantum physics stuff, we wouldn’t have any light, no photons, nothing to look at. Nada.
Just want you to know there’s a whole ‘nother world of things going on that we take for granted….and take for granted we should because we got a lot of other things to worry about. Alright, don’t worry, just keep progressing forward and keep the photons coming!
